While you're checked-in to any Place, the mini-player at the bottom of the Play tab will display the currently playing song, and a notification of how many of your songs are still in the queue.

Tap the mini-player to expand it and view all the songs in the queue - songs you've played will be marked in gold with a "Your song" badge!
