In the event that a TouchTunes jukebox is unavailable for play, the Place will display a badge under the venue name, indicating the current status:

  • Offline - the jukebox is currently turned off and not playing music.
  • Paused - the jukebox is turned on, but is paused and not playing music.
  • Unavailable to check-in - the jukebox may be disconnected from the Internet, unplugged from the wall, or otherwise unavailable for play.

TouchTunes jukeboxes operate through an internet connection to sync with the app. In instances where the jukebox loses internet connectivity, the Touchtunes app and jukebox are unable to communicate, and the Place status appears as "Unavailable to check-in" in grey.

However, in the event of an internet outage, as long as the jukebox itself is still on and running, you can walk up and play music saved on the jukebox using cash. Once the jukebox's connection to the internet is restored, you can check in and resume playing music from the TouchTunes app!

If the issue persists, or if the jukebox is completely shut off and isn't turning back on, please notify venue staff so they can contact the jukebox operator for technical assistance. Typically, the operator's contact info can be found on a sticker or badge on the front or side of the jukebox, or on another vending/amusement device in the venue (such as an ATM, dart board, pool table, or video game cabinet).
